“Just be a good person, love who you can, help where you can, give what you can.” ~ Unknown

North Pole

Today, I was downtown and ran across a giant mailbox for Santa in front of City Hall. We didn’t have anything like this when I was a kid. Of course, we lived in the country for most of my Santa years. Back then, you could still mail a letter to someone in a small town marked ‘general delivery’, and it would find its way. For all I know, my letters addressed to Santa at the North Pole really did go to North Pole, Alaska. I did not get a reply either way. I don’t remember when I discovered Santa wasn’t real, but it must have been very early because I don’t remember a time when I didn’t know it was mom and dad. Anyway, they were better than a fat dude with a fake beard and mutant reindeer.
