The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain. Is not the cup that holds your wine the very cup that was burned in the potter’s oven?

As if my Christmas blessings weren’t already overflowing, Stacy Yelton presented the ultimate in gift hilarity. Numbers three and six are vitally important to remember (seriously, if you’ve ever lived on a farm with an outhouse…need I say more?) Stacy helps me a lot, and not just with my funny bone. She helps me take the cats to see their yearly nemesis, Dr. Millicent Hardigree, a.k.a. Aunt Millie. Aunt Millie is hardly a nemesis to we humans. Why, just last month she saved Catherine Brereton and Susan Stewart’s 15 year old Tybalt that others had given up for dead. Half of the Special Collections’ staff are her clients, including Stacy. We all heart Aunt Millie. I heart her almost as much as I heart my outhouse rules. We should always be grateful for indoor plumbing (trust me on this one), and we should always be thankful for the Dr. Hardigrees of the world.

I am grateful and thankful for Dr. Hardigree. She was Cocoa’s veterinarian. He crossed 10 years ago. She now sees my sister’s clan of Isabella, Lulu and India. She is a gifted, talented, beautiful person. Blessings to her. We love Dr. Hardigree too.
