“Sometimes our light goes out but is blown into flame by another human being. Each of us owes deepest thanks to those who have rekindled this light.” ~ Albert Schweitzer

what I see

We met Rental Sister Kelly for our Christmas gathering with her. We convened in Midway for a brilliant lunch at a little joint called Don Jockey. None of us had been there before today, but it was some of the most delicious Mexican food I’ve ever had in Kentucky. The waitress was just as sweet as could be, so we took the opportunity to photograph each other. We then perused Midway’s quaint little shops for several hours, finding a cute little purse for mom before discovering an utterly delightful coffee shop offering Backyard Bird Bingo on the table. I mean, how can you go wrong with Backyard Bird Bingo? It was a day I’m pretty sure we all needed. This has been a tough year for many people, including Kelly, so any time together that’s light and laughter-filled is a win. That’s exactly the kind of day we had, and I am eternally grateful for it.
