Jaime Marie Burton is one of the most genuinely positive people I know. Some months ago, in the Special Collections elevator, a happy note appeared. It said something simple like, “Have a great day!” That note was followed by another positive sign, then another, and another. I was on the elevator with Jaime one day when I learned that she was the Minister of Kindness; the sprite plastering good vibes on the lift. I liked her when I first met her. I adored her after I learned that truth. Jaime carries the kind of good intention that is infectious, a contagion I hope we all catch.
