“Be so confident in what you bring to the table that you’re willing to eat alone until you find the right table.” ~ Unknown
Today, I received this beautiful wind chime in honor of Shero from dear friends Meg Adkins, Robin, and Sarah Fannin. Robin has been keeping in touch with me periodically since Shero got sick, gently sending words of encouragement, a reminder that I was not alone. She, Meg, and Sarah were caregivers to her mother, Erma, who passed away just two years ago, so she understands the work, care, and love (mostly love) that goes into caregiving, and the void it leaves when it’s no longer needed. All three of these Morgan County natives are extraordinarily generous of spirit and have wonderfully calm demeanors. It has always been a joy to be in their company, which doesn’t happen nearly enough, and I am eternally grateful for their support in such trying times. Shero loved them, too.
