“Sometimes all you can do is accept there’s not much you can do. And sometimes all you can control is how well you let go of control.” ~ Lori Deschene
I see patterns of living, telling me how the street is zoned, how and where the power lines connect to the houses, how far the setback from the street is, the porches, the additions, and on and on. I got into historic preservation because I love preservation, but I’m feeling more and more like I could be a city planner. I don’t want to be. No. I have zero desire to do city planning, but I find planning and how that changes over time fascinating. Zoning laws are interesting, too. I’m a nerd. I own it.
