“Happiness is not a matter of intensity but of balance, order, rhythm and harmony.”

After a morning visit to our super awesome CPA, Lorri Dillon, Stacy and I stopped at Cracker Barrel for a nice breakfast before heading north. I really wanted to photograph the Basilica in Covington again, this time with Jerry, the Canon 6D. Stacy very graciously agreed to go with me. She had never been to the Basilica before. She loved it as much as I thought she would. What’s not to love? It is a glorious, holy place full of spirit and art. During our drive home I realized the last time I was at the Basilica (which had been my first and only time) I had said a prayer for my mother who was very sick at the time. She recovered. Right now I know an unusually high number of people who are struggling with very big, life altering ordeals. I wish them the peace I felt today sitting in this sacred space.
