“Reflect upon your present blessings of which every man has many – not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some.” ~ Charles Dickens
I love the lunches I’ve had lately. For the first time in recent memory, Crystal and I had lunch without anyone else. It was good. It was better than good. It was important. It was not a rehashing of office talk. It was not a blathering of insignificant nonsense. It was not a strained attempt to fill dead air. It was two friends talking about life and things to look forward to. We’ve been friends for 20 years. Who wouldn’t be friends with a woman that makes such an array of faces? Me thinks we need more friend lunches.
