“Never think you’re better than anyone else, but don’t let anyone treat you like you’re worse than they are.” ~ Rip Torn

perspective

This is the back of the Fine Arts building. The wooden sculpture has been in place for as long as I can remember. Does anyone who’s been around UK for a while know what it is? I don’t have a definitive answer. It looks a bit like an elongated Catholic Cardinal, but I’ve no clue what the artist intended. The rough wood against brick doesn’t work for me. As for the building itself, this walkway is one of the most intriguing angles of the building. I wish the University would show this building some love and install central heat and air. Those window units are not cool….aesthetically or literally, and they detract from the strong lines that are so much a part of the building’s character. Also, after five meetings today, I might be tired and need some sleep. But seriously, what is that wooden piece?
