For whatever reason, the builders of Aunt Janet’s house put the breaker box in the living room, and as you would expect, it looks wretched. In a burst of brilliance¬†I asked colleague and quilter, Sarah Connelly Vaughan, to create a wall hanging for the space. Bless her, she spent Christmas break putting the finishing touches on it. Sarah did some things in this piece that she had never done before. That makes it extra special to me. Just for that, I’m thinking of planting a gingko tree in Janet’s yard. Thanks for the inspiration, Sarah. That’s what good art can do.
