Stacy Yelton, Crystal Heis, Jen Bartlett, and Deirdre Scaggs went along for a celebratory lunch at one of my favorite places, Sav’s West African Grill (you might remember him from an earlier post). For dessert, we popped across the street to his new venture; Sav’s Chill. While Sav runs the Grill, his son, Bangaly (isn’t he just adorable?), runs the Chill. He serves made-in-Kentucky ice cream, sorbet, and gelato as well as other made-in-Kentucky items like Kizito cookies. The place was hopping on a hot day like this. Lucky me, Deirdre bought for me a congratulatory scoop of mint chocolate chip (my all-time favorite), and let me have a taste of her lavender gelato. I love my co-workers. They have great taste. They are also SO incredibly sweet to me and to each other. Very happy indeed.
