Honey, to quote Betina Conley Gardner, “This isn’t The 606, this is The 743!” Rebecca Miller Campbell, Ron Gevedon, Sam McKinney, Pam Oldfield Meade, and I – the group of us that had a show at the Folk Art Center last year in Morehead – did it again, this time at ArtsPlace in Lexington. There was a private reception tonight for the artists, their guests, and the exhibit sponsors. I cannot say enough about the support we got from LexArts and the people who could make it out tonight for the reception. It was really a remarkable night of art and pure love. Unfortunately, Rebecca Miller Campbell couldn’t be with us, and we sure missed her, but she was with us in spirit. I didn’t get to talk to hardly anybody, and certainly nobody for long enough. There are way too many people for me to thank for being there tonight, and if I try, I’ll forget someone and feel really bad, so if you were there, please know I thank you from the bottom of my little 606 heart. This really is a fantastic exhibit, and I couldn’t be more honored to be among these brilliant artists. Sometimes I have to pinch myself.
