It has been quite the day, in the best possible ways. Mom and I went to church in West Liberty, where she sang some songs and joined the choir. We then welcomed the new pastor with an enormous home-cooked meal by the church ladies. As you might imagine, the food was incredible, but the fellowship was even better. I got to sit with Martha Conley, one of my favorite people, and near Russell and Billy Jean Collinsworth, and Calvin and Zula (not pictured) Johnson. These folks are salt of the earth good to the bone and I wouldn’t take nothing for the life I’ve had with them. As if this wasn’t enough goodness for one day, I met up with Julene and Tim Jones for supper, and if we hadn’t been in a restaurant, we’d still be there talking. My day from start to finish has had me surrounded by some of the best people I’ve ever known. I sure appreciate them and their kindness.
