We had an artist’s reception in West Liberty this evening, and it was just the best two hours I’ve had in a long, long time. I saw old friends and new, plus family, blood and chosen. I’ve got photos of them all, but as we were leaving, Lara Vest took my camera and made this. I don’t like many pictures of me, but I like this one with Sylvia and Pam. They, along with Jenny Bell and Sylvia’s husband Phillip Harmon, whom you met a couple of weeks ago, work hard to bring art to the people of Morgan County, often against the odds. They’re a fantastic bunch, and we’re all extremely lucky to have them. I’m especially blessed to be in their company and thankful they invited me to show some of my work.
