We said a tearful goodbye after a delicious lunch with Angie’s little brother, Billy, whom she has called Billy Bad Ass for so long that I had to work hard to not call him that today. Like Angie, he is hilarious. He’s also cute as a button and puts me in mind so much of her dad it’s almost startling, in a good way. It’s been a highly restorative week. I needed it, and I needed to see my BFF.
