Today’s visit with Hero was much improved. He was much more alert. If he continues to stabilize, he’ll be ready for some rehabilitation before coming home. Also, for so many who have called or texted to ask if we’re okay from all the flooding, bless you, and yes, we are okay. And I got word today – finally – that our beloved cousin Eunice and her husband Johnny in Hardburly (near Hazard) are alive. They’re trapped up the holler because the bridge and road are gone, but their house sat up far enough from the creek to avoid flooding. Thanks be to God. For all of it.
