I ran into Daxon at Berea Art Fair yesterday and caught his infectious smile before the skies opened. It wasn’t 15 minutes later that we were in tents across from one another, trying to wait out the first of two storms. I heard them (McLain Family Band) play one song before they had to make a run for it. I saw Daxon a little later in another location at the fair. They were accompanying dancers (that group’s name I didn’t catch), but again, we all scattered like ants when the skies opened up again. He said they eventually got to play a full set, but they had to do it under a pavilion. It was that kind of day. Rain or shine, though, nobody’s dashing this man’s light. He’s the best.
