I knew some things would get done today, but I had no idea what I was in for. First, Ken and his oldest, Adrian, came over around noon to help move some of Hero and Shero’s furniture to my house in exchange for my recliners. Ken and Crystal moved his mom and stepdad up here last weekend from LA (Lower Alabama), and they needed some better seating. Since I was going to sell mine, I hit the Easy button, and they’re comfy cozy now. But Cousin Jessica dropped me a text along the way and said she wanted to come help with the house. I thought she was coming to look through things that I’ve been giving the family. No. She showed up with Aunt Linda, Adam, and her daughter, Lindsey. They insisted they do something to help. They didn’t want any stuff. They insisted something needed doing, so in an hour’s time, they’d brought the last of the stuff down from the second floor, and Adam took a bed apart and moved it. I came home and cried. I had no idea how much help I needed until they left and I saw just how much had been left upstairs. It took them an hour to do what would have taken me nearly all day, or longer, because I get really hot these days. Between Ken, Adrian, and the mighty four Terrys, I am finally ready to have a yard sale next weekend and start painting. Thanks be to God for my friends and family. I must be the most blessed woman on the planet, and I hope I’m never, ever ungrateful.
