Recall I was grateful to be in the company of so many good people yesterday. Here sits three of the best people I’ve ever known; Angie DeBord and Pam Meade you’ve met before, but add Debi Bays to the mix, whom I had not seen in 30 years or more, and the trifecta was complete. Let me tell you why I adore this photo, because I know it probably doesn’t seem like much, but it speaks volumes to me. Angie, Pam, and Debi have always devoted their time and attention to the arts, no matter the form. They listen to it. Look at it. Feel it. Make it. Talk about it. Take it apart and put it back together. Sometimes they even cook and serve it (art in all forms remember). We see them here doing that very thing; listening to Nick’s daughter talk about her dad and how he gifted the world with his arts. They are present. They are presents.
