This little so and so has been in the dog house the better of the day. Apparently, as best we can tell, Wally aka the Escape Artist took advantage of mom’s turned back and made his way out of the garage as she filled the bird feeder. She thought he had come home. She just happened to come to see me and asked about him. He’d been gone over twenty minutes by then. Nextdoor app to the rescue! Our canine friend had made his way to a parallel street where a very, very kind neighbour took him in and posted a notice. After a few choice words uttered under my breath and meeting several new neighbours, the boy was located and safely brought home. If he wasn’t so cute and I didn’t love him so much I’d strangle him for scaring us to death. Meanwhile, in his mind, he had a grand adventure and didn’t understand why we didn’t share in his jubilation. The joy of dogs should be respected and simulated as much as possible.
