Crystal’s day

Today was Research and Innovation Day at UK Libraries. It’s a half-day of presenting to colleagues the projects or research we’ve been working on over the last year. Librarians might fool you. Among us, there are as many interests as there are stars in the sky – from Chairing the Popular Culture Association to photographing a deteriorating 12-foot flag. The latter is what Crystal talked about, complete with fun time-lapse videos of the process. She is so gifted with what she does that II marvel at how lucky the UK Libraries are to still have her. Reinette and I talked a bit about the newspapers and then the little video I put together over the weekend was played. I’ll post it later for your educational fix. Both were hits I think. I must say, I had a really good time being among everyone and sharing some knowledge.
