Wally was enjoying the warm sunset in the green grass while I did the dishes. I went out to throw away the recycling. I found his lead with the collar attached, but no Wally. I ran for the street. Fortunately, my super sweet neighbors three doors down – across the street – had caught him. He’d decided to go play with their little Italian Greyhound. Scared me to death. <reconsiders the outrageous price of fencing>  I’m so thankful he crossed the street safely and came back to live with me.
