“Your most powerful testimony is how you treat people after the church service is over.” ~ Unknown

whoa long time ago

Imagine my surprise when I opened a box and found these blasts from the past. This was Pam and Jim Bob Meade’s wedding way back in 198?? (She’ll give me the exact date if she reads this). Greg was either home on leave from the Air Force, or he’d just gotten out, and was living with Kiya and me in Lexington, trying to figure out his next move (eventually, he went to nursing school). I’m pretty sure Stealin Horses had released the Arista album by this point. That was in 1988. I think I borrowed a blouse from Shero, and clearly, I still remembered how to wear makeup. Last time I tried to apply foundation, I looked like a clown (note to self: the skin and foundation tones really need to match). I don’t remember owning a Polaroid, but apparently, I did, or maybe I borrowed Shero’s, although I don’t remember her having one either. Whoever I got it from, thanks! I look forward to hearing what others who were there remember about the wedding at White Oak. It was a goodun’, I know that, and the Meades are still happily ever after. I call that a win!

UPDATE: Pam confirmed their wedding was on October 1, 1988.
