at last

Kentucky Crafted: The Market was finally back in action after a two-year hiatus. As per usual, Annie Bassoni and I attended. It was so good to see her. We had not been to an art event since 2019, and it felt just as long since we’d had a chance to visit. Naturally, we had to go see our BFF Deb Chenault. This year’s show was much smaller than Markets of the past, and there was no additional food or music events in the arena. There were a few new exhibitors and most of those were really very good. I don’t know if the show was smaller because they were trying to maintain social distancing or if a mass of artists went out of business during Covid. I’m hoping it’s the former, though I know for certain the latter has happened. All in all, it was a glorious day to be among my peeps again.
