“Don’t worry about what they think. Worry about what you think. After all, you have to live with your choices. They don’t.” ~ Unknown
I ran into my old buddy Kyle Macy at The Market yesterday. We hadn’t seen one another without masks for two years. In that time he’d turned his From The Rafters of Rupp television show into a book. He graciously thanked me and Doug Boyd in the acknowledgements, and since yesterday was Doug’s birthday, it was fitting to run into Kyle. Naturally, a copy of his book came home with me, Annie captured our moment, and a good time was had by all. I expect to see a lot more of Kyle in the coming months as our world is starting to stretch its post-Covid muscles. One of his questions yesterday was, “How’s your dad?” When I told dad his buddy Kyle Macy asked about him, his eyes lit up and he asked, “He remembered me?” Yes, he did. Kyle’s a keeper for a lot of reasons, but especially for that. Here’s to many more Rafters episodes and a lot more laughs.
