I spent the weekend at the hospital with mom. Dad came early this morning, insisting I go home to rest before the work week. Mom was so happy to see him. They were cute. She really wanted a picture of the three of us. It’s not too bad for a super tired trio. A lot of people have been asking about her, so here’s the skinny: she is improving, albeit very slowly. Her pneumonia is hanging on, unfortunately, but she’s fighting it, and seems stronger every day. Having a shoulder replacement is extremely painful on a healthy person. So, that she’s doing as well as she is, considering her very compromised system, is a testament to what a tough bird she is. I’m sure she’d like you to know that she (and dad and I) appreciates your good thoughts and prayers. Life is so much better surrounded by so many good people like ya’ll. Thank you for your concern and kindness. Oh, one more thing: Go Cats! Nothing like a good alma mater SEC Championship to make you feel better.
