You don’t find the time, you make the time. Create time for what matters most and what brings you joy.” ~ Aine Belton

I started my day with a presentation to my library colleagues. Then, I high-tailed it to West Liberty for Career Day with the middle schoolers. There, I talked about my jobs as librarian and artist, how I came to do both, what education was necessary to make them happen, and other things that might help them understand careers in the arts and humanities. This young man was awesome. Dylan Shackelford was his name I believe. He was encouraging to me and to his classmates, although I raised my eyebrow when his career choice was to be in a band and work at Taco Bell. I assured him that was a very real possibility if he insisted on being in a band. I was speaking from experience after all. They were all great kids, and it was a true honor to spend time with them. Warmed my heart beyond measure.
