You’ll never find a more positive, strong advocate for the marginalized – and Appalachia – than Dr. Ann Kingsolver. I’ve gotten a chance to hang out with her a lot at ASA, and my respect for her just grows every time we have a chance to talk. She is a force for goodness. And cousin Rich Kirby? Salt of the earth sweetheart who makes my day every time I see him. He’s still doing his radio show on Appalshop’s WMMT. We had a long talk about the iconic Appalshop building devastated by the 2022 flood. I know goodness is still here, right here, in these two.
