The best things in life aren’t things.” ~ Art Buchwald

A dreary day: perfect for staying in, doing laundry, baking banana bread, and watching March Madness basketball. I did all that, but yet, I still had to go out. Losing lots of weight means one must have clothes that fit. Cracker Barrel was my treat for surviving the hordes. Seated beside the old sports equipment wall, Stacy Yelton remarked that she had the same model tennis racquet when she was a young girl. I had the baseball glove. When I see anyone physically impaired, I consciously consider the body I was given. It worked extraordinarily well when I was young, and it still does for the most part, despite my age and less than stellar treatment over the years. I give thanks for this body, and I’m beyond fortunate that it still works.
