Baby Ginsu is having a rough go of it. She went from perfect kitty health for 16 years to suddenly not eating yesterday. Lethargy set in, and when she hadn’t eaten overnight, I knew she was sick. Aunt Millie’s office is still without power, so it was back to the beloved Chevy Chase Animal Hospital, where I took Sadie and Jack for years until I moved to the south side. They accepted Lilly right away, and after a thorough exam, labs, and x-rays, they concluded she has a lung infection. Several injections later, she’s back home and starting to twitch her tail. That’s a good thing. She even drank some water. I tell you what, being scared by her sudden turn served to remind me how much I love her. She has been with me so long that I can’t image the house without her. She picked me, and I feel really lucky she did.
