It’s not a major award, but it’s an opportunity to be entirely immersed in historic preservation for a couple of days. Thanks to faculty sponsor, Julie Riesenweber, myself and classmate Kendra Thomas are having a big adventure with the Vernacular Architecture Forum (VAF) annual conference as ambassadors from the University of Kentucky. My goodness, last week was the Halcomb House oral history marathon and now VAF. Back-to-back adventures – I’m long overdue. Historic Preservation: I have not regretted this direction for a second.
