“In a society that has you counting money, pounds, calories, and steps, be a rebel and count your blessings instead.” ~ Unknown

great West Liberty sage

On Saturday, I ran into Donna Jean (Steele) at Fannin’s, where she works on weekends. She’s a few months older than me and retired two years ago after a 40-year career at Bank of the Mountains. I told her some folks thought I was too young to retire, and buddy, let me tell you, she turned around to me, and said, “Kopana, let me tell ya, you’re not too young. The way I see it, life is short. You better make the most of it. Don’t listen to them people.” Boom! My thinking exactly, and that is one of the many reasons Donna and I have been friends for over 50 years. You need good, solid advice? Go see Donna Jean, the Great Sage of West Liberty.
