Crystal said she finally grasped the secret of a good sourdough starter, this after several unsuccessful starts, apparently. After some exchange I said I’d be interested in learning more about the craft. This evening, like a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, Crystal gave me my first sourdough starter. Like a good teacher, she gave ample instruction as well. And now I begin the journey and hope I get it right, or at least learn how to get it right eventually. It’s a pretty exciting adventure for a new kitchen. Insert squeee here.
