Apple blossoms on my Jonathan Apple tree. They weren’t as plentiful this year as they have been in the past. Partly because we had a mild winter (they seem to prefer longer colds spells), and partly because I didn’t trim them when I should have. Back in February, when the trimming would have been perfect, their shapes were also perfect and I just didn’t have the heart to do it. Of course, now that they’re loaded with leaves, I wish I had. Still, a year’s growth isn’t going to hurt and I still got the beautiful blossoms.
