Pogo

Ladies and gentlemen, meet Pogo, aka Augie, aka Foxy, aka Buddy, aka Good Boy. Pogo has been with me two weeks today. I’ve kept him under wraps because it was a bit sudden, but when I saw that smile, I thought he was adorable. Mom thought so, too. Much like Wally chose dad, Pogo chose mom the minute we got home. So, while he’s technically mine, and spends the nights at my house, he utterly adores mom and spends every waking minute with her. He’s a Jack Russell/Mountain Feist mix who’s very young – less than 2, but I’d guess he is barely a year. He’s quiet but curious, terrified and loving. It’s the strangest combination I’ve ever experienced in a dog. I suspect he was badly mistreated, hence the terrified part, so it’s taking a great deal of patience for him to get truly comfortable, but he’s getting there. And he’s wildly fast. There’s no catching him. I’d tell you to come by and see him, but he’d just run away, so, photos will have to do. I’ll say this for him, he’s photogenic as all get out. Look at that sweet grin and those pointy little ears!
