For the third time this year, Reinette and I hit the road to talk about our newspaper collection and the many ways it fulfills UK’s mission as the state’s flagship University. Today, we spoke at the Ohio Valley History Conference at the Kentucky Historical Society and shared the session with the KY Oral History Commission’s newest hire, Michael Kilmore. He’s a good speaker —smart, funny —and KOHC did a good job hiring him. We had a really good time talking about public history and some of the things we’re up against to keep moving forward. Plus, it was a completely gorgeous day in Kentucky. What’s not to love?
