My first woolly worm sighting of the season. Like mountain family and friends, I, too, judge the coming winter by the color of the woolly worm. Last winter was extremely mild. Judging by the relatively short brown strip on this guy we might actually have some snow and winter temps this year. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a solid black woolly worm. It’s been a while since we’ve had a massively bad winter. Coincidence?
