“Somebody should tell us, right at the start of our lives, that we are dying.
Then we might live life to the limit, every minute of every day. Do it! I say.
Whatever you want to do, do it now! There are only so many tomorrows.”

One great thing about dogs is that they’re generally happy. It doesn’t take much. A soft word, a pat on the head, a game of fetch. If you’re Wally, none of that matters nearly as much as a squirrel. Frankly, nothing matters to him but squirrels. I feel limitless joy watching him bound across the yard after something he can’t catch. I think he knows he can’t catch a squirrel (unless it’s half dead maybe), but that’s not the point. It’s the journey, not the destination that matters.
