I had a long overdue lunch with my friend Becky Ryder. We talked for two and a half hours over the spectacular food at Azur, one of my favorite Lexington restaurants. Becky has so many admirable traits. One of the things I love is her enthusiasm. She appreciates good ideas, and they don’t have to be hers. She’s a team player. She’s high energy. She enjoys stimulating conversation. She takes pleasure in helping others. She is smart as a whip, and kind to animals. I could go on about her many qualities, but the thing I appreciate most is her friendship. It’ll soon be 15 years since we first met. What a topsy-turvy time it has been, and what a blessing to have met her.
