“To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you.” ~ Lewis B. Smedes

Have you ever wondered why they flush fire hydrants? Wonder no more after seeing the bottom photo. Also, observation after working from home for a week (because the offices are being painted), this is a busy, noisy street during working hours. I’ve heard distant chainsaws (you know that’s my favorite), and concrete saws followed by chucks of concrete thrown in a truck that sounded like space debris falling to earth, screeching motorcycles, garbage trucks, mailmen that set off all the neighbourhood dogs, and utility dudes always doing something. Today, it was flush the hydrant day. Shew, I need to be back in the office to get some peace (but I am really going to miss Lord Basil. He has become a great companion.)
