“When you follow the crowd you will lose yourself, but when you follow your soul you will lose the crowd. Eventually, your soul tribe will appear, but do not fear the process of solitude.” ~ Unknown

Shero and I were talking the other day and come to find out she had never noticed there is a creek running parallel to Southland Drive. It’s essentially the headwaters of Wolf Run Creek that rambles through Southland, eventually crossing Harrodsburg Road, turning through the Gardenside neighbourhood before crossing Versailles Road to wander through the Cardinal Valley neighbourhood, then crossing New Circle Road and Old Frankfort Pike before converging with Town Branch at Alexandria Drive near the Amazon Warehouse. A few years ago, the city did a lot of work in and along the creek when they installed sidewalks and artwork down Southland. The creek now has the ability to filter the water and has a more natural appearance, both big improvements. It may look unkempt, but it’s actually a wise manoeuvre. Nature works best if you leave it alone and let it actually work. The wild look is a good thing. Plus, I’m a fan of the wild look. You should see me when I get up in the mornings!
