When Mary Carroll-Hackett and her sister, Cricket, visited back in, whenever that was…May, I think, she commented on the lovely ivy as it crept nearer the porch. Given the nasty high temps this summer, along with Mary’s observation, I decided to see just how it would look if I didn’t trim the ivy. I actually like it. I won’t do it again, mostly because a snake jumped out to scare my mother, but it was fun to do it just once.
