You can somewhat discern their barks if you know your dog at all. There’s the excited-to-see-you bark, there’s the mailman bark, there’s the “hurry, I gotta pee” bark, there’s the something’s wrong bark, and then there’s the holy-moly over-the-top elation bark. It was the latter that lured me outside to see mom’s dog, Scrappy, and his partner in crime, Lord Basil George Heybuddy Pogo, barking happily at the peach tree. Upon closer inspection, I found this gorgeous boy looking rather bored by the whole affair. I’ve seen him in my yard before, and he’s very, very sweet, but he had bad timing today. Still, the boys were mighty proud of themselves for treeing a cat. Put me in mind of my beloved Wally and his possum friend. No animals were harmed in the making of these memories.
