Stacy Yelton told me three years ago that this young girl was the one to watch. She was right. Coco Gauff, her generation’s Serena Williams, won the U.S. Open today, beating Aryna Sabalenka, the world’s #1 player. It was a glorious win for the 19-year-old and a brilliant game. I almost felt sorry for Sabalenka toward the end, watching her outsmarted and outrun by her junior. Gauff will only get better, and I’m going to enjoy watching her play for a long time.
