“I hate all those weathermen who tell you that rain is bad weather. There’s no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothing. So get yourself a sexy raincoat and live a little.” ~ Billy Connelly

When I was young, Dad only went to church on Easter. His dad didn’t go at all, and his mother only occasionally, that I recall. It didn’t detract from their faith, though. I get it. My faith is strong whether I walk into a church house or not. After a major health crisis in his 60s, Dad began to attend church regularly. He drew comfort from it and from the other parishioners. I get that, too. There is comfort in a flock. The picture below was taken outside our home at Malone on Easter Sunday, 1972. I, for one, am glad the era of the white tie, belt, shoes, and bible has passed. May they never grace our fashion again. (I still have the bible.) Happy Easter, wherever you are and however you believe. Even if you don’t believe in a higher power, or anything else, I hope your day was great. This season is a time of renewal and blessings. Always be grateful for having someone in your life man enough to wear blazing white shoes. #BestDadEver
