Our CPA heroine, Lorri Dillon, makes a second appearance in short order. Poor thing gets no rest this time of year. Instead of being stressed out and hateful about it, she talked to us for more than an hour. We talked about careers, in particular changing careers at this age, spirituality, hobbies, vacations, you name it, we covered it. Perhaps my favorite moment was the look on her face when she asked after all these years, “I know you work at UK, but what do you do there?” I replied, “I’m a librarian.” “You are a librarian?” Eyes wide as saucers. I don’t think people would be any more shocked if I answered brain surgeon. It’s pretty obvious that I’m no ordinary librarian. Lorri’s no ordinary CPA, so we’re even. She’s good people, alright.
