gettin’ wild

Ordinarily, I don’t make my daily post until nearer the end of the day. However, today is a bit special. As I may have mentioned before, I am not a wedding photographer. As a rule I don’t do them. They’re extremely stressful, long, hot, and the potential for Bridezilla to rear her ugly, ugly head is a little too real for my liking. I’ll go as a second shooter for Crystal if she needs one, but that’s the only way I’ll do it. I say this on the day I’m going to shoot a wedding. See why you should never say never? It’s a sure sign that you’ll do exactly what you just said you would never do (and this is the second time in six weeks I’ve shot a wedding!). Today, my aunt Charlene is marrying lifetime family friend Tony Adkins. Yours truly reluctantly agreed to be their photographer. To make sure all goes as smoothly as possible in the photographic department, Crystal Heis, being the supremo friend to beat all, is going along to help since I’m also in the wedding party along with 90% of the family (and it’s a big family as Charlene will tell you). In fact, the only family members not in the wedding are the ones who aren’t at the wedding at all. So, this is going to be a long day ahead of about 40-50 hours of photo processing that will follow over the course of coming weeks. Therefore, I thought I’d skip ahead and post some beautiful flower photos from Eric and Bree’s paradise. They most accurately reflect how beautiful it is today, and how hopeful I am that this day and this union will be blessed with an abundance of happiness, few mistakes, and a lot of good memories.

Good Luck today! Not that you’ll need it in the photography arena, but more for your personal well being. I know how stressful weddings are to shoot, especially for beings who are always more worried about not intruding on the couple’s moment for the sake of a keepsake. Eric struggles with this as well and has the same rule about not shooting weddings and yet…. he still ends up doing them from time to time.

We will be sending to big waves of WOOSAH all day!
