My drive back from Whitesburg last Saturday brought me around Cave Run Lake at sunset. I will sometimes drive across the dam to see the broad waters at different times of day or different seasons, like the freezing winter in February 2014 and the unusually high flood pool of April 2015. Sometimes the most beautiful view is away from the setting sun like this look at the marina beside Twin Knobs.
