“The world around you is beautiful when the world within you is peaceful. As within, so without.” ~ Timber Hawkeye

It has been a wonderfully social day. Part one of the social flurry begins with Terry Keys. We were supposed to go to church and brunch “nibbles” several weeks ago, but that was the weekend I came down with that bizarre stomach virus/food poisoning upset. We were able to try again today, and it was totally worth the wait. He picked me up in his utterly adorable Mini Cooper named Anderson, and off we went to First Presbyterian. Although the winds were whipping, they were warm, and the sky was beautiful. It was good to be back inside First Pres for a church service after being away for what seems like a lifetime. Then, it was down to Dudley’s on Short Street. I haven’t been to Dudley’s in this location. In fact, I hadn’t been to Dudley’s since before they moved from the old school on Mill and Maxwell. That’s been well over a decade. Clearly, I need to get out more. I was pleased to see that the menu had improved in its selection range, was surprisingly affordable, and was completely delicious. The food and the company were so good that we would still be sitting there had I not talked myself into a coughing fit that became embarrassingly uncontrollable. Hacking aside, I had the best time with Terry. We talked about lots of important, fun, and exciting things, and I’m looking forward to many more “nibble” dates to catch up.
