I found this photo on my phone from way back in early August. This was the day Kathryn Engle and I delivered supplies to Letcher County High School after the flood hit Eastern Kentucky. Afterwards, we joined others from Special Collections to help Appalshop save their film from the flooded vault. Tragedy aside, it was a good day with Kathryn. She met Cousins Eunice and Johnny and is eager to return to see them again. We’re going to conduct an oral history with them. Any friend that understands Eunice and Johnny’s value is a keeper. That’s Kathryn.
